Solution - Expired Deal Detector (Ad & Deal Health)

Catch the ads that send shoppers to a dead end

Expired Deal Detector checks the live ads of your own brand and of every competitor you track. It flags ads that land on a broken page, ads for products that are sold out or priced at zero, offers still advertised after they ended, and urgency claims that have run for months.

Available now in the RivalSweeper app as the Ad & Deal Health report. Landing-page checks cover Meta ads today.

What it flags

Four ways a live ad stops working for the shopper who clicks it. Each one is checked for your brand and for every competitor you track.

Broken landing pages

The ad is live. The page behind it is not.

  • The page returns an error (404 or 410).
  • The domain in the ad link no longer exists.
  • The product was removed and the link now falls back to the homepage.
  • An invisible character was pasted into the ad link, so a working URL turns into an error page.

Products shoppers cannot buy

The ad sells something the page cannot.

  • The ad points to a product that is out of stock.
  • The product page shows a price of zero.
  • Judged only when we read that product's stock or price recently. An older read is shown as not verified, never as a problem.

Offers that already ended

The creative still promises a deal that is over.

  • An ad keeps promoting a sale after the end date printed in it.
  • A homepage banner still shows a promotion after its end date.
  • We read the date from the ad copy, the ad image or the banner itself.

Urgency that never ends

"Today only" stops meaning anything after a month.

  • "Today only" and "this weekend only" claims that keep running for weeks or months.
  • Each claim shows the date its ad started, so you can see how long it has run.

Fix-now for you, intelligence on rivals

Your brand: fix-now to-dos

  • Every problem on your own ads becomes a high-priority to-do in your RivalSweeper account.
  • The to-do links to the ad, the page it lands on and what failed, so whoever owns the campaign can pause it or fix the link.
  • Stop paying for clicks that land on an error page, an empty product or a deal that is over.

Your competitors: neutral intelligence

  • See which rival ads lead to a dead page, a sold-out product or an offer that has already ended.
  • An offer that is over is one you do not need to match.
  • No to-dos for rivals. The findings sit in the Ad & Deal Health report next to your own, for you to read and decide.

What every finding shows

Every finding is backed by what we saw and when, so your team can check it in a minute.

FieldWhat it shows
The adA link to the ad in the public ad library.
The ad's linkThe exact URL in the ad, including an invisible character when there is one.
Where it landsThe page a shopper reaches after every redirect and tracking hop.
The checkWhat we found (error, missing domain, fallback to the homepage) and the date of the check.
The productStock and price for the product the ad leads to, with the date we last read them.
The offerThe end date and where we read it: the ad copy, the ad image or the homepage banner.

What we never count as a problem

A false alarm costs you trust in the report. These cases are never counted as problems.

Sites that block our check

Shown as not verifiable. We never call a page broken when we could not see it.

App Store and Google Play links

Marked as app links and not checked, so they never show up as broken.

Stock or price we have not read recently

Shown as not verified. Only a recent read can raise an out-of-stock or zero-price finding.

Numbers that only look like dates

Sizes and product codes are ignored when we look for an offer's end date.

How it works

1

Tell us your store and your rivals

On a short call, share your store and the competitors you want watched. No ad account to connect and nothing to install.

2

We check every live ad

Each live ad is followed to its real landing page, then checked against the product's stock and price and the offer's end date.

3

Fix what is yours

Problems on your own ads arrive as high-priority to-dos with the evidence attached.

4

Read what is theirs

Rival findings sit in the same report, store by store, as neutral intelligence.

The full detail of each check is on the Ad & Deal Health feature page.

Pricing

Custom pricing, kept simple

The price depends on how many stores and competitors you want checked. We scope it with you on a short, no-obligation call and send one clear quote.

  • Scoped to your brand and the competitors you pick
  • No ad-account access and no install needed
  • One clear quote after a short, no-obligation call
  • Already a RivalSweeper customer? Book the call and we will set it up for the stores you already track

Frequently asked questions

Is Expired Deal Detector available today?

Yes. It runs inside the RivalSweeper app as the Ad & Deal Health report. Landing-page checks cover Meta ads today. Book a call and we will set it up for your store and your competitors.

How is this different from ad intelligence?

Ad intelligence shows which ads a competitor runs. Expired Deal Detector checks where those ads lead, and whether the product and the offer in them are still real.

Do you publish which brands have broken or expired ads?

No. Findings are visible only inside the customer's own account. We never name a brand's broken or expired ads in public.

What do you need from us?

Your store's domain and the competitors you want watched. RivalSweeper reads public ad libraries and public pages, so there is no ad account to connect and nothing to install.

What does it cost?

Pricing is custom and depends on the number of stores and competitors you want checked. We agree it with you on a short, no-obligation call.

Where can I see how each check works?

The Ad & Deal Health feature page explains each check step by step, including how we follow redirects and how we read an offer's end date.

Findings stay inside your account. RivalSweeper does not publish which brands have broken or expired ads, and does not share the list of stores it tracks.

Find the ads that outlived the deal

Tell us your store and the competitors you want watched. We will walk you through the report on a short, no-obligation call and agree a price that fits.
